the "Safe Spaces" project: safe spaces for social inclusion and integrated protection services for particularly vulnerable people among refugees and host communities in Jordan, funded by UPP.

Project Duration: From August 1, 2023, to August 31, 2024.

The objectives: The proposed action aims to improve access to protection services for the most vulnerable groups among Jordanian refugees and host communities. The project envisages the enhancement of basic social services: integrated case management services, psychosocial support and mental health, safe spaces for the empowerment of youth, women, caregivers, and persons with disabilities, outreach and community-based legal assistance and rehabilitation, and economic support aimed at self-reliance for vulnerable groups through cash assistance services. The initiative aims to enhance the response capacities of local actors through an integrated training plan for the staff of partner associations that includes modules on child protection, women's protection, gender-based violence, and psychosocial support. Furthermore, the project aims to promote the active participation of members of the communities involved in community-based protection and social inclusion mechanisms to ensure local ownership and sustainability of the intervention.
