Tawazon – Promoting the Voice and Leadership of Women project, works to activate the role of women and increase their influence by strengthening and enforcing supportive legislative frameworks, developing the institutional capacities of partner agencies, adopting supportive social behaviors, and building leadership competencies for women, in addition to enriching cooperation between members of Gender Experts Learning Community.

Objectives of the Tawazon Project:

1. Developing the capacities of official institutions contributing to reviewing legislative frameworks, as well as increasing the availability of researches and data related to gender, to ensure the achievement of equal citizenship.

1. Implementing the national strategy for communication and social behaviors that supports women and awareness raising on reducing gender-based violence.

1. Building women’s leadership capacities and competencies, and enhancing their opportunities for expression and participation.

1. Informing cooperation between the learning community of gender experts, through exchanging experiences and sharing best practices related to women’s empowerment and participation.
