In a vibrant scene filled with teamwork and community spirit, Solidarity Is Global Institute-JO (SIGI) carried out a participatory agricultural activity on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at its headquarters in Jabal Al-Ashrafieh, East Amman. The event involved a group of women and young women, particularly those seeking employment.

This activity is part of the ongoing community outreach and engagement campaign under the "Masahat Amineh – Policies to Combat Violence in the Work Environment and World of Work" project. It aims to support women economically and enhance their presence in the community, especially in areas where women face high unemployment and limited economic opportunities.

The event included planting medicinal herbs, home crops, and flowers, in addition to conducting a workshop on the importance of home gardening in promoting household food security and generating supplemental income to help meet basic needs.

One participant stated:
"Farming is not just a way to earn a living, but also a tool for building self-confidence and proving that women play a central role in improving family and community well-being—if given the right support and environment."

Through such initiatives, SIGI seeks to highlight the importance of providing innovative economic opportunities for women and fostering a supportive environment that strengthens their capacity for leadership and integration, by combining environmental, community, and awareness-raising efforts in a unified approach.

It is worth noting that "Masahat Amineh" project is implemented by the association with support from the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF). The project aims to develop gender-responsive policies, and create violence-free and economically empowering work environments for women in Jordan.
