The Jordanian Women’s Solidarity Institute conducted an educational lecture on the early detection of breast cancer on Saturday, 11/4/2026, in cooperation with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation / King Hussein Cancer Center, delivered by the health educator Iman Abdul Hamid. The session was held at the association’s premises in Um Wasfi Center / Al-Ashrafiyeh, with the participation of a number of local community women.
The lecture addressed several important topics, including the risk factors that may increase the likelihood of developing breast cancer, as well as the symptoms that should be monitored. It also highlighted the importance of early detection in increasing recovery rates and reducing complications.
In addition, the session explained the age groups and women who are recommended to undergo regular screening, along with a practical demonstration on how to properly perform breast self-examination, aiming to empower women to continuously monitor their health.
The lecture witnessed positive interaction from the participants, as a discussion was opened and their questions were answered, which contributed to enhancing health awareness and encouraging them to adhere to regular check-ups.
The association reaffirmed its commitment to continuing such awareness activities, as part of its role in serving the community and promoting women’s health awareness.
