"SIGI" Participates in the Third Regional Forum on Business and Human Rights in the Arab States

The Sisterhood Is Global Institute/Jordan (SIGI) participated in the Third Regional Forum on Business and Human Rights in the Arab States, held under the theme: “Advancing Responsible Business Conduct: Human Rights at the Heart of Sustainable Development in the Arab States.”


The Institute was represented at the forum by Dr. Eman Al-Hussein, Chairperson of SIGI’s Administrative Board, and Ms. Fadia Al-Jabr, Member of the Administrative Board.


The forum discussed a number of issues related to business and human rights, including national policies, human rights due diligence, and the role of governments and the private sector in promoting responsible business practices, with the participation of representatives from governments, business sectors, and civil society organizations.


SIGI’s participation in this regional forum reflects its commitment to keeping pace with national and international policies related to human rights, and to strengthening the role of civil society organizations in supporting sustainable development and social justice.
